FEARS are growing for a missing mom whose boyfriend believes she is in grave danger.
Police have posted a missing person flyer for Maria Kraus, 38, whose car was found abandoned near an industrial intersection.
Allegheny County police in Pennsylvania are desperately seeking the mom who lives in Wall, outside Pittsburgh.
Kraus was last seen on Monday at about 8:45 am, per the police department.
They said her car was found abandoned near metalworking plants and railroad tracks along a tributary of the Monongahela River
Police said she is 5-foot-2 and approximately 215 pounds.
“Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit at 412-473-1251,” cops said.
At the time of Maria’s disappearance, she was wearing black pants and leggings, and a black hoodie.
IN DANGER
Kraus’s family told the police that her phone had been turned off.
“If anyone has any info on my girlfriend Maria, please reach out to me or her family!” her distraught boyfriend, John Grondziowski, said on Facebook.
“It seems she could be in danger.”
He added, “I’m begging, if anyone has seen her or has any info please reach out.”
Scores of people said they would “pray for Maria,” in comments on the post.
One local resident replied, “I live close by to that road, I will keep my eyes open for anything!”
Maria’s former teacher also posted on Facebook that the family fears she might have been “picked up by someone who is holding her against her will.”
“A former student of mine has been reported missing and in possible danger,” MaryBeth Ponitz wrote.
Police search for missing mom Maria Kraus

MARIA Kraus, a 38-year-old woman from the Pittsburgh area, has vanished, and her car found abandoned on the side of an industrial intersection outside the city. A missing person flyer shared by the Allegheny County Police Department said:
Please Share: County Police are currently searching for 38-year-old Maria Kraus.
Maria lives in Wall and was last seen on February 10 at approximately 8:45 am.
Her vehicle was located yesterday near the intersection of East Pittsburgh McKeesport Blvd and Braddock Avenue in North Versailles.
Maria is described as 5’2” tall and approximately 215 pounds.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit at 412-473-1251.
“If you have seen Maria Kraus or have any information on her whereabouts please contact her brother, Justin Kraus on FB.”
MaryBeth later issued an update on Facebook after speaking with Maria’s dad.
“I delivered coffee to those searching for her,” Ponitz said.
“He and his family are holding out hope that Maria left her car, which had broken down and was picked up by someone who is holding her against her will.
“Please pray that Maria is found safe.”
Detectives, fire and rescue teams, plus Maria’s family and friends, have been searching the area, Pittsburgh CBS affiliate KDKA-TV reported.
They’ve also been checking part of the nearby creek.
LATER SIGHTINGS
One witness reported seeing Maria walking along the side of the road Monday, shortly after noon, the broadcaster added.
Several people told the police on Facebook that they had also spotted Maria after noon.
Grondziowski, her boyfriend, was among those who said she was last seen around 12:30pm in the area.
“I am feeling so bad at this time,” another person wrote.
“I seen her at the same location @ noon and she was still in the same area at about 12:56, wanted stop but didn’t want to be late from lunch.
“I pray they find her safe.”
DRONES USED
Another resident said that he had seen investigators “searching with a drone for her, so I don’t think she was found yet” on Tuesday.
“Praying for the missing woman and her family that she is found and not in any danger,” one person replied.
“Dear Lord please wrap your loving arms around Maria and bring her home safe and sound to her family.”
