BRISTOL, Va. (WJHL) — After being up for sale for over a year, the Cameo Theater is under new ownership.

Theatre Bristol announced on its website Wednesday that it purchased the Cameo Theater and is “pleased to add [it] to its rotation of stages.”

Theatre Bristol said it owes thanks to the “Theatre Bristol Board of Directors, Brent Buchanan, People, Inc. Financial Services, Ninth District Development Financing Inc., the Virginia Small Business Financing Authority, the support from the Bristol community and many others.”

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Cameo Theater and the 60th anniversary of Theatre Bristol, Theatre Bristol will host performances of “Land of Jesters and Rumpelstiltskin.” Tickets will go on sale Monday.
