(WJW) – Reality television personality Teddi Mellencamp, the daughter of “Hurts So Good” singer John Mellencamp, was awaiting surgery for multiple brain tumors on Wednesday.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star shared the news with fans on Instagram, stating she has been dealing with serious and debilitating headaches for the past few weeks.

The pain became unbearable on Tuesday and the 43-year-old went to the hospital.
“After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months” the post said.
Teddi said two of the tumors will be surgically removed on Wednesday, while the remaining smaller ones will be taken care of with radiation treatment.
“I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health,” the post continued.
The surgery comes amid the reality star’s ongoing battle with melanoma, described as “the most invasive skin cancer with the highest risk of death,” according to the Cleveland Clinic.
Teddi has been sharing her cancer battle on social media for years, most recently showing a large “Z” shaped scar on her back and encouraging followers to get their skin checked on World Cancer Day on Feb. 4.
She appeared on three seasons of Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
