Pete Wicks had a brutal message for Maura Higgins on Valentine’s Day after announcing a new project with his ex-girlfriend’s enemy.

The podcaster, 37, confirmed he and Olivia Attwood, 33, are the hosts of a brand-new Kiss radio show called The Sunday Roast just hours after his split from Maura was revealed.

Former TOWIE star Pete jokingly said: ‘I don’t know why they’ve trusted us with this, but we’re going to have our own show on Sunday’s, 2-5. We’re part of the Kiss family baby!’

But the announcement came at an unfortunate time for Maura, 34, who has reportedly been feuding with Olivia over similarities in their respective careers.

MailOnline revealed last year that the Bad Boyfriends host felt Maura had been trying to replicate the successes of career, even signing up to the same PR agency.

Now, Olivia has had the final laugh teaming up with Pete for their new radio show, with their first live broadcast just weeks away.

Olivia added: ‘We’re learning on the job so bear with us, but there’s going to be LOLs, us being mean to each other. The not swearing is going to be tricky…’

‘We signed the contract and clearly didn’t read it,’ Pete explained.

‘But it’s going to be good and we’re having loads of fun doing it.’

Olivia, who found fame on Love Island two years before Maura entered as a bombshell in 2019, had shared her frustrations on Instagram saying she believed someone in the industry was trying to emulate her successes.

She wrote: ‘You can try to hire all the same people, regurgitate my stories as your own, study the playbook, follow the recipe blah blah but it will *never* taste the same. That’s all.’

Her outburst came as Maura appeared on last year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! two years after Olivia was forced to leave the series for medical reasons following 24 hours in the Australian jungle.

When asked about their reported feud by MailOnline earlier this year, Olivia insisted that she remains in her own lane when it comes to her career.

The ITV documentary maker said: ‘Without sounding arrogant, I don’t feel like I’m in competition with anyone. I am relentlessly insane, no one can outwork me. They can try but they won’t succeed.’

MailOnline exclusively told of how Pete and Maura had separated following a series of rows, with the pair deciding to be friends instead of lovers.

A source said: ‘Maura and Pete have decided to call off their romance.

‘There have been a few clashes, and it was eventually agreed they were better off as friends.

‘Those closest to them know it’s been a very on and off relationship, which is why they were so resistant to go public in the first place.

‘They remain close and share a deep connection.’

Pete and Maura, who had been friends for years before becoming romantically involved, refused to confirm the status of their relationship while they dated.

They were regularly pictured together at red-carpet events and spent the Christmas period together at a cosy getaway in Ireland.
