White House threatens deportations in Valentine's Day message

The White House shared a meme on Valentine’s Day warning that those who are in the U.S. illegally will be deported.

President Trump’s White House trolled the public by posting a pink card Friday across its social media accounts that included the commander-in-chief’s official portrait and a headshot of a stern-looking Tom Homan, his border czar.

The poem written in white letters says “Roses are red, Violets are blue, come here illegally and we’ll deport you.”

The post was accompanied by a “Happy Valentine’s Day” caption along with a red heart emoji.

Since taking office on Jan. 20, Trump and his administration have worked to crack down on illegal immigration at the southern border and perform mass deportations of those who are in the country illegally.

As part of that push, they have tasked those within various agencies to assist the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in carrying out raids in numerous states around the country.

But despite the effort to carry out the arrests, particularly of those illegal immigrants with criminal convictions, Homan recently said in an interview that he is not pleased with the ICE arrest figures.

“If you look at the rest of interior enforcement, it’s about three times higher than it was a year ago today. Three times higher is good, but I’m not satisfied. There are more criminal aliens that need to be arrested, hundreds of thousands,” Homan said in an interview published Tuesday.

“Sanctuary cities are putting roadblocks up,” he added. “We’ve got leaks. So we need to increase the arrests of illegal aliens, especially those with criminal convictions. So we’re going to continue.”
