Source Shares Real Reason Kyle Richards & Mauricio Haven't Filed for Divorce, Confirms RHOBH Stars are "Past the Point" of Reconciliation as "Nightmare" Divorce Looms

Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky may be on good terms, but they are reportedly not headed for a reconciliation as a source also shares the real reason they have yet to file for divorce.

As the couple continues putting up a united front with their kids, even spending the holidays together as a family, an insider claims the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills couple is “past the point” of getting back together as a potentially messy divorce looms.

“I think they are past the point of [ever] reconciling,” an insider told The U.S. Sun on February 13. “It seems that ship has sailed. They still have their own beautiful, unique bond and continue to be there for each other when it’s needed. Things haven’t gotten nasty on either side, but it is over.”

As RHOBH fans will recall, Kyle, 56, and Mauricio, 54, confirmed their separation in July 2023, but they continued to live together until last May when he moved into a luxury condo in West Hollywood.

When it comes to why neither party has officially filed for divorce, it has to do with the “nightmare” process of having to divide assets for the wealthy couple.

“They’re not in a hurry to file, but when they inevitably do, it will be a nightmare to divide up assets, stakes in The Agency, and a lot of other things they both went all into together,” the source revealed.

Because Kyle and Mauricio had nothing when their relationship began in 1994, they didn’t sign a prenuptial agreement in 1996 when they wed, which could set them up for a difficult divorce. After all, with Kyle’s Bravo paycheck and Mauricio’s income from The Agency, which he launched in 2011, they have an alleged net worth of around $100 million.

The couple, who share daughters Alexia Umansky, 28, Sophia Umansky, 25, and Portia Umansky, 17, also own several homes, including their family home in Encino, California, and vacation homes in Palm Desert and Aspen, Colorado.

“Kyle and Mau are in as good of a place as they can be right now. It’s still hard for Kyle, but she’s getting through it,” the source concluded.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
