Don’t come for Meryl Streep.

The 75-year-old Oscar winner playfully raised his middle finger towards the camera while seated next to his rumored boyfriend Martin Short at the “SNL50: The Homecoming Concert.”

At the live event that took place on Friday at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, former “Saturday Night Live” cast members Will Ferrell and Ana Gasteyer took the stage and revisited their roles as fictional Altadena Middle School music teachers Marty and Bobbi Mohan-Cu.

“Right now, we have some pretty noticeable troublemakers, but that doesn’t prevent us from spotting a bunch of middle fingers scattered throughout both the upper balcony and the main seating area,” remarked Ferrell, 57. “It’s just incredibly impolite.”

“We’re talking about you, Meryl Streep. We see you,” added Gasteyer, 57.

The camera then cut to Streep, 75, flipping the bird from her seat in the crowd.

Short, 74, and the rest of the audience burst out laughing over Streep’s response.

The moment went viral on social media and was celebrated by fans.

“MERYL STREEP THE LEGEND YOU ARE,” one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

“Highlight of an amazing show!!” someone else tweeted.

“She rocks,” another fan said about Streep.

A different person wrote, “their bit was actually so funny i didn’t expect anything they did haha.”

The fact that Short was sitting next to Streep for the entire concert was also a hot topic with fans online.

“I’m obsessed with Martin Short dragging Meryl to be in the audience of a SNL Music concert!” a fan said on X.

Someone else tweeted, “meryl streep and martin short have gotta be the cutest couple of all time whenever i see a picture of them i can’t help but smile like an idiot.”

Short and Streep, who play a couple on Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building,” first sparked dating rumors in real life after getting cozy at the 2024 Golden Globes.

At the time, Short’s rep shut down the rumors. He told E News, “They are just very good friends. Nothing more.”

Short himself insisted that he and the “Mamma Mia!” actress were merely “friends” during an August interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

However, the rumors were reignited when the duo held hands at the “Only Murders” Season 4 premiere in Los Angeles in Aug. 2024.

They’ve since been photographed on multiple dinner dates together.

Short is a widower, having been married to Canadian actress Nancy Dolman – with whom he had three kids, Katherine, 41, Oliver, 38, and Henry, 35 – from 1980 until her death from cancer in 2010.

Streep, meanwhile, was married to Don Gummer, with whom she has four children. They quietly separated over six years ago.
