RHOBH's Garcelle Beauvais Admits She Was Surprised by Reba’s “Candor” After Commenting on Her Relationship With Sutton as Kyle Suspects Reba Didn't Like Garcelle From the Get-Go

Garcelle Beauvais reacted to her awkward one-on-one conversation with Sutton Stracke‘s mom, Reba, after Tuesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

After she was shut down by Reba for suggesting that Sutton, 53, wanted more respect and approval from her, Garcelle, 58, admitted she actually enjoyed the time she spent with Reba in Augusta, Georgia as Kyle Richards, 56, suggested Sutton’s mom didn’t like Garcelle from the start.

“I was surprised by her candor,” Garcelle admitted on the February 11 episode of the RHOBH: After Show. “[Sutton] had warned me but I thought I came very soft, [saying], ‘I love your daughter, we’re such good friends.’ [But] she’s like, ‘That is none of your business.’”

According to Garcelle, she did her best to keep a “straight face” during her chat with Reba as she admitted that Reba was “probably right” in saying that her relationship with Sutton wasn’t her business.

“But I really enjoyed Reba because she stayed true to who she is no matter what, whether we were being nice, it didn’t matter,” Garcelle added.

Meanwhile, in her own segment of the RHOBH: After Show, Kyle said that when it came to Reba’s treatment of Garcelle, she didn’t seem to be a fan.

“It just felt like Reba did not like Garcelle from the get-go. But at least she was able to laugh about it. I’m glad it wasn’t me. I would’ve been like, ‘Time to go,’” she admitted. “She’s got Garcelle working hard to try to win her over.”

As fans saw last week, Garcelle arrived in Sutton’s hometown bearing gifts, including a scarf for Sutton’s mom. However, Reba wasn’t all that thrilled with the gesture.

Luckily, as time went on, Reba seemed to warm up to her.

“[I was like], ‘Give me that scarf, b*tch, I’m out of here,’ and then towards the end, she was like, ‘If I come to LA, will Garcelle pick me up at the airport?’” Garcelle recalled.

But according to Sutton, Reba likely made the comment because she “knows I’m not going to.”
