TAMARAC, Fla. (WFLA) — The father of a 4-year-old who went missing along with her mother on Sunday has been arrested.

An AMBER alert was issued earlier in the day for Seraphine Gingles and 34-year-old Mary Gingles, who were both last seen in Broward County.

Officials believed they were accompanied by the child’s father, Nathan Gingles, 43.

The child was located safely, but, according to NBC 6, the body of Mary Gingles was discovered at their home.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies determined that she died due to a gunshot wound.

Deputies also found the body of a man at the scene who, BSO determined, had also died due to a gunshot wound.

The victim was identified as Andrew Ferrin.

In an initial investigation, BSO said that they discovered Nathan had taken the child from their residence after Ferrin died.

Deputies tracked Nathan’s vehicle to a Walmart in North Lauderdale, where they found him and Seraphina.

According to reporters, court documents revealed that the couple was in the process of getting a divorce.

BSO deputies arrested Nathan Gingles for violating a ruling that prohibited him from having contact with the child or her mother.

They have not yet released details surrounding the deaths of Mary or Ferrin.
