Brittany Cartwright hinted at “things that happened” between her and Jax Taylor, which made their co-parenting relationship “even more difficult.” The Valley star also addressed if she’s seeing someone special, what it’s like being single, and if Lisa Vanderpump has reached out.

In February of last year, Brittany announced her split from Jax, the father of her three-year-old son. She filed for divorce a few months later. Throughout the separation, the exes have swung back and forth between friendly and not-so-friendly relations.

“There’s a lot of things about Jax and I that you guys will find out throughout the [new] season that I can’t really talk on right now, but it’s been really hard for me,” said Brittany on her When Reality Hits podcast, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram. “There’s been things that happened within the past couple of months that you guys will find out about that made it even more difficult, but we’re really, really trying to push through.”

“I think within the past couple of weeks, he’s really trying to step up and be better. And I’m hoping it continues on that way,” she continued. “I’m always just waiting for things to crash because that’s just been my life lately … Things can be good one moment, and then things can be bad the next.”

She also addressed what’s like being single.

“I can get lonely sometimes [because I’m] used to being in a relationship for like 10 years, somebody’s with you 24/7,” she said. “But my favorite thing about being single would be not having to clean up after somebody else … I have my house back finally, and it’s just like, okay, I’m not having to shut all the cabinet doors or … close the silverware drawer back.”

According to Brittany, Jax will “come over” to the house and help with things “when we’re getting along,” she doesn’t plan on selling the house. Her restaurant, Brits WeHo, is set to open around late March after being pushed back due to the recent wildfires.

When asked if she’s seeing someone special, Brittany answered that she’s “having a little bit of fun” and has “some crushes,” but she’s not in a “relationship.”

Though Brittany has kept in touch with Ariana Madix, she said Lisa has “not reached out” even “one time” throughout her divorce with Jax.
