TAMARAC, Fla. (WFLA) — A man accused of fatally shooting his estranged wife, her father and another man while abducting his 4-year-old daughter in South Florida on Sunday was charged with three counts of first-degree murder.

Nathan Gingles, 44, was also charged with violating a no-contact order involving his child and her mother, according to a report from NBC affiliate WTVJ.

The Broward County Sheriff’s Office was called to a home at around 6 a.m. Sunday for a reported shooting. David Pozner, 64, was found shot to death on the back patio of a home.

Deputies discovered his granddaughter, 4-year-old Seraphine Gingles, was abducted by Nathan Gingles, prompting a statewide Amber Alert to be issued. The child’s mother, Mary Gingles, 34, was found shot to death at a home across the street from Pozner’s house.

Deputies also discovered another man, Andrew Ferrin, 36, fatally shot at the home. According to WTVJ, family members said Mary Gingles was trying to get help when Ferrin answered the door and was shot.

Nathan Gingles’ vehicle was spotted at a Walmart in North Lauderdale about an hour after the Amber Alert was issued and he was taken into custody. The 4-year-old was found safe.

Court records showed Nathan and Mary Gingles were going through a divorce. The divorce petition alleged Mary and Seraphine were abused by Nathan Gingles.

Officials searched a pond in Tamarac and found a firearm believed to be connected to the killings, according to BCSO.
