Teddi Mellencamp‘s sister, Justice Mellencamp, offered an emotional update on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum after her brain tumor surgery days ago.

As Teddi’s estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, 47, brought his kids to the hospital to visit with Teddi, 43, Justice took to her Instagram Story, where she admitted it was “horrific” watching her older sibling suffer as she applauded Teddi as strong and expressed gratitude toward her loved ones.

“Watching a loved one suffer is horrific. I’ve tried to get back to everyone who has reached out [and] I know Teddi will share her journey when she is ready. She is by far the strongest person I know. So many emotions as I travel home today but her village is the best one I’ve ever seen and I’m so grateful for them! Your prayers are everything. Thank you,” Justin wrote in her post on Instagram, via Daily Mail, which included an image of Teddi in her hospital bed.

As RHOBH fans have likely heard, Teddi confirmed the discovery of multiple tumors on her brain last week, noting that she would have surgery later that same day to remove the largest of the bunch.

In the days that followed, Teddi received visits and support from several of her friends, including Kyle Richards, 56, and Morgan Wade, 30.

Teddi has also been visited by her daughter, Slate, and her stepdaughter, Isabella.

“On our way to visit Mom,” Edwin wrote in the caption of a photo shared earlier this week. 

Then, with another post on his Instagram Story, Edwin added, “Our family is thankful to everybody for your continued prayers and well wishes. Teddi is beyond grateful for the outpouring of love while she continues to recover.”

Prior to Edwin’s latest update, he confirmed that Teddi’s surgery went well, but he noted that she was in “so much pain” as she recovered. 

“So many people asking for updates. All I will say right now is surgery went well,” he stated. “That said, I’ve never seen [Teddi] in so much pain. She’s finally getting some needed rest. I know she is so grateful for the outpouring of love.”
