MONTICELLO, Ill. (WCIA) — Kelly Crawford and Elaine Stevens from Cub Scout Pack 122 joined WCIA’s Mitchell Rife to talk about their 2nd Annual Chili Dinner fundraiser event.

The event raises money for the Cub Scouts, with the goal of offsetting funds, and helping the kids can learn more about community service outings and adventures. There will be a chili dinner and a chili cookoff and a few scoutmasters will compete against each other.

In addition to the food, the event will also include a silent auction with items donated by local businesses and scouts, and a raffle for four tickets to a Chicago Cubs vs. St. Louis Cardinals game at Busch Stadium in June. The tickets for the game include ballpark fare and drinks. Raffle tickets cost $10 per ticket and the winner will be drawn at the chili dinner.

The event will take place on Feb. 22 from 4-7 p.m. at the Monticello Illinois United Methodist Church (MUMC) at 2020 E. Washington Street. Tickets for the Chili Dinner are $10 for adults and $7 for kids. The meal includes chili, a hot dog, chips, desert and a drink. To go options are available as well.
