ORLANDO, Fla. – It’s national Love Your Pet Day and there are lots of ways to celebrate the fluffy, feathery, or scaley friend in your life.

This day is all about showing your pets some love and affection to celebrate the bond.

Take them outside for a nice walk around the neighborhood:

  • A simple yet thoughtful way to enjoy the fresh outdoors while offering a change of scenery for you and your friend.

Treat them with their favorite treats:

  • Show your affection by treating your pet to their favorite snacks or meals. Just like us, pets love indulging in tasty treats, and it’s a great way to make them feel cherished.

Offer new enrichment activities:

  • New training commands, puzzles, or even blocks of ice are all great ways to keep your pet entertained. There is no short list of ideas for ways to engage your pet’s brain and keep it healthy.

Spend extra quality time with them:

  • If you have extra time today, dedicate some of it to enjoying quality moments with your pet.

Have a photoshoot:

Don’t have an animal best friend? Look to your local animal shelters and pet stores to pick one up and celebrate the day with them.

If you’re not able to have a pet right now, volunteering at animal shelters and other pet organizations is a meaningful wait to get involved with the animals.
