Meghan Markle’s As Ever has run into yet another awkward altercation from a photography business bearing the same business name.
Jen, who is the owner of As Ever Photography based in Arizona, decided to share a pointed message on Instagram directed at the Duchess of Sussex after the rebranding of American Riviera Orchard.
Expressing her sentiment, Jen mentioned, ‘When someone as globally renowned as Meghan starts using your business name that you have had for over a decade (a name you chose in tribute to your grandmother), it seems like she could give me a little acknowledgment? @meghan @netflix.’ She humorously added that she would be delighted to work as a photographer for the brand.
The 43-year-old duchess recently revealed the rebranding of her luxury lifestyle brand ‘As Ever’ on Instagram. She launched a new website featuring a cover photo of herself holding hands with her three-year-old daughter, Lilibet, under the sunny skies of California.
She renamed the company after she ran into trademark problems with her initial project, American Riviera Orchard, two weeks before the launch of her new Netflix show, ‘With Love, Meghan’.
However, the rebrand has impacted business owners with companies under the same name, including As Ever Photography and a New Jersey clothing company whose small family brand also holds the name As Ever.
Jen explained the sentimental meaning behind her business name, which roots from her ‘wonderful’ late grandparents.
She wrote on Instagram: ‘I was so fortunate to have all four of my wonderful grandparents in my life well into adulthood. Each one of them strongly influenced the woman I am and the life I live.

The Duchess of Sussex has run into another awkward situation with a photographer who shares the same company name as Meghan’s As Ever lifestyle firm
‘The name As Ever Photography is an acknowledgement of their lasting presence in my life and my gratitude for what I learned from them.
‘Evelyn, my maternal grandmother, was the sun in our family’s solar system. She taught us all so much about the value of family and of laughing, singing, and dancing as much as possible.
‘When I reflect on the relationships and emotions I would like to capture and convey with my images, I think of her.
‘When it came time to choose a name for my business, I was reminded of the signature she used in correspondence: ”As Ever, Evelyn”. It was only two words, but the sentiment they conveyed was so lovely.
‘No matter how much time has passed, my feelings for you remain unchanged. And so it is with photographs: The passing of time cannot change what was felt at the very moment the shutter opened and captured life.
Jen concluded: ‘I know she would be happy to be part of my everyday endeavour to see light and laughter and love’.

The American photographer took to Instagram to ask Meghan and Netflix to ‘throw’ her a ‘little bone’
The photographer later clarified her intentions behind the post after onlookers turned her post into ‘nastiness’.
She explained: ‘A little clarification: I had a bit of fun posting about Meghan Markle using my biz name, but I am in no way interested in hatemongering against her.
‘Thanks to those of you who have said nice things about my work, but I’ve turned off comments on my posts related to As Ever because some of you are turning good natured fun into nastiness’.
It comes after Meghan’s rebrand of American Riviera Orchard hit another stumbling block after it triggered a plagiarism row in Spain.
Civic bosses in the sleepy Mallorca village of Porreres are reportedly considering legal action against the Duchess of Sussex, accusing her of copying its traditional coat of arms for the logo of her revamped luxury brand, As Ever.
Both images share striking similarities, each featuring a palm tree with two birds hovering on either side of it.
While the town’s coat of arms is splashed with colours – orange and green for the tree and sand, black for the birds, on a white background – Meghan’s logo uses just dark grey and white.
Mayor Francisca Mora told local newspaper Ara Balears the likeness is ‘surreal’, and that the town hall is deciding whether or not to take legal action against the Duchess.

The Duchess (seen in Whistler earlier this month) announced the rebrand of American Riviera Orchard on Instagram
She added: ‘I don’t know if she visited some agritourism sites and saw the coat of arms, because the photo on her website is taken from Mallorca.’
She said the village now ‘feels international’ and hopes this will at least bring it some recognition.
‘I hope many people around the world will become aware that in Mallorca there is an inland town that has this coat of arms,’ Mayor Mora added.
The mayor also told The Sun: ‘We don’t want our coat of arms to be perverted because it belongs exclusively to Porreres.
‘The only difference with their logo and our coat of arms is that theirs shows two hummingbirds and in ours are either swallows or pigeons — historians cannot agree.
‘We will ask Meghan to remove the logo from their website.’
MailOnline has approached the Duchess of Sussex’s representatives for comment.
Porreres, founded in 13th century, sits in the middle of the Balearic Island’s rural heartland. It has a population of just over 5,000 people and is about 22 miles to the east of Mallorca’s capital of Palma.
The picturesque Mediterranean community, with its cobbled streets and historic buildings, was historically one of the island’s agricultural hubs, producing wines and fruits.
In recent years, it has become a moderately popular tourist destination for visitors exploring the island, with the local tourism board hailing a ‘must-visit’ destination for wine fans.
The history behind the town’s coat of arms is unknown. However, it’s striking similarity could prompt the Duchess into an embarrassing third rebrand of her lifestyle firm.
