Lovelock was convicted for a range of offences, including intimidating a police officer, but was later acquitted of all but one in a district court appeal.

The arrest in 2020 raised questions about Lamarre-Condon’s conduct.

An internal police probe found that Lamarre-Condon’s actions that day were lawful.

Now, NSW Police could be forced to defend the officer’s actions in the civil court.

Almost four years later, Lamarre-Condon was charged with entering a home in Paddington and murdering Baird and Davies with his police-issued gun.

He was later dismissed from the force.
