KAROLINE Leavitt has doubled down on President Donald Trump’s ambitious plan to make Canada the next state of America’s union.

The White House press secretary teased the president’s plans for the US takeover of Canada in a press briefing on Thursday.

Leavitt, 28, mentioned the move while speaking about the president’s excitement for the US hockey team’s game against Canada on Thursday.

The match-up is the championship final game for the NHL’s first Four Nations Face-Off tournament.

Trump won’t attend the showdown but still plans to watch, Leavitt said while flanked by White House officials in the briefing room.

Dressed in sparkly white, Leavitt celebrated the president’s first month of his second term with a briefing featuring guests including National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.

“I think he’s watching for the United States to win tonight,” Leavitt said.

“I know he talked to the USA hockey team this morning,” she continued, saying the players were “jubilant” over the call.

“We look forward to the United States beating our soon-to-be 51st state – Canada,” she said.

Her remark came hours after Trump shared his excitement for the game on Truth Social.

“I’ll be calling our GREAT American Hockey Team this morning to spur them on towards victory tonight against Canada, which with FAR LOWER TAXES AND MUCH STRONGER SECURITY, will someday, maybe soon, become our cherished, and very important, Fifty First State,” Trump wrote.

“I will be speaking before the Governors tonight in D.C., and will sadly, therefore, be unable to attend.

“But we will all be watching, and if Governor Trudeau would like to join us, he would be most welcome. Good luck to everybody, and have a GREAT game tonight. So exciting!”

This isn’t the first time Trump has spoken about his goal of making Canada join the US.

The president confirmed his plans to annex Canada were a “real thing” in an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier on February 10.

“I think Canada would be much better off being the 51st state because we lose $200 billion a year with Canada,” he said.

“And I’m not going to let that happen. Why are we paying $200 billion a year, essentially a subsidy to Canada?”

PLANS FOR CANADA

Trump’s big plans come after he slapped 25% tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who Trump has referred to as a US governor, has publicly opposed Trump’s scheme.

He also sent a jab to Trump after a recent hockey game by posting a video about the Canadian national anthem.

Canadians were also caught on video booing the American national anthem at recent NHL and NBA games.

Thursday’s highly-anticipated game starts at 8:20 pm at TD Garden in Boston.
