The alleged stabbing took place after the Hoppers Crossing man got off the bus, with emergency services called but he died at the scene.

On Friday, after two days on the run, homicide squad detectives arrested a 17-year-old boy from the Wyndham area and a 22-year-old man from Ascot.

They were later charged with murder and held over to appear before court later today.

Mwanza’s family were desperate for answers in the aftermath of his death.

They described him as a “gentle giant” who was known as the family comedian.

“He wasn’t a troublemaker. He would never, ever hurt a fly,” sister Naomi Mwanza told 9News.
