Celebrity stylist Graham Nation, known for his work with stars like Demi Moore and Jared Leto, has tragically passed away at the age of 39, it has been confirmed.

Once romantically linked to Sheridan Smith, Nation had a bright career working with high-profile names, including Venus Williams and Catherine O’Hara.

As reported by the L.A. County Department of Medical Examiner, Nation, whose birth name was Graham Cheek, met his untimely death in a Los Angeles gym. It’s understood he died on Friday, February 14, with further investigations still underway.

Graham’s brief romance with Sheridan ended in 2017, when sources claimed she had “really fallen” for him. Despite their separation, there were no hard feelings; as a confidant disclosed to The Sun, “There is no animosity, and Graham is still there for her, but she feels quite lonely at the moment.”

Before his passing, Graham had rubbed shoulders with film and TV royalty, styling Catherine O’Hara’s hair for her acclaimed Michelob Ultra Super Bowl advert. He joyously announced his involvement on Instagram just days before his death, posting on February 10: “What an absolute blast to work on, Thank you Cathrine O’Hara for having me apart of this epic commercial.”, reports the Mirror.

His agency, The Wall Group, conveyed their heartfelt sorrow through Behind The Chair: “Graham was a one-of-a-kind soul who impacted every single person he met. We are honoured to have been part of his journey and to have helped him share his artistry with the world. Our hearts are broken and we will miss him dearly.”

Heartfelt tributes kept pouring in on social media. Erin Foster posted a poignant message on her Instagram Stories: “I can not stop thinking about and missing @grahamnation. He left behind a 6-month-old baby. We shared diapers and sleep training tips.”

Her thoughts were also with Graham’s partner Tonya, reflecting on the immense challenge she now faces: “I can’t stop thinking about his partner Tonya and what she must be going through. Losing her partner and now raising their son alone.”

Divinity Ray, a fellow stylist and friend, shared a moving tribute as well, “10 years of knowing you, from cutting hair in our hometown to witnessing you take LA by storm. You were never too busy to be thoughtful. You were never too big to smile at everyone. You were the most incomprehensible artist.”

Graham is survived by his loving partner, Tonya Brewer, and their six-month-old baby boy, Romeo.
