ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — Passengers boarding JetBlue flights to and from Orlando rubbed blessed oil on the plane’s exterior following the recent aviation accidents across the U.S.

Video taken by Desiree Salter shows one passenger pouring out the oil from a small bottle on the jet bridge and signing the cross on the outside of the plane before stepping inside.

Captioning the video, “In Jesus Name,” the woman also rubs the oil on the other side of the door, before giving a look of “I’m not messing around” at the camera.

A second video uploaded by Salter shows her walking up the jet bridge for her return flight to Orlando, shaking the bottle of oil.

“POV: We will bless THIS plane…AGAIN!” she wrote.

Once again, the woman dumps some of the oil onto her hand before laying her entire hand on the exterior of the plane with her head bowed and giving it a gentle pat.

The videos, posted to TikTok, have gone viral, racking up more than six million views. Many users hopped in the comments to express their support.

“At this point… I don’t blame you,” one user wrote.

“The way I would instantly feel safer on that flight,” another said.

Salter shared that she got the oil from her stepfather, who is a pastor, at their local church. Always keeping it on hand in her purse, Salter said she happened to have it while going on her trip to Punta Cana.

“I just wanted to pray for it and get everybody here safe,” she said. “And God kept us safe, and God kept us covered.”

The viral video comes after weeks of several aviation incidents, including the midair collision between a Black Hawk Army helicopter and an American Airlines flight in Washington D.C., killing 67 people, and the deadly Philadelphia crash involving a medical transport jet carrying a young child.

Just last week, a Delta Airlines flight landing in Toronto overturned. All 76 passengers and four crew members miraculously survived, with some only suffering relatively minor injuries.
