SAVANNAH, Ga. () — The Calvary Day boys’ basketball team’s season came to an unfortunate end after an upstet loss, 67-52, against St. Francis Saturday, Feb. 22.
The Cavs finished the season with a 19-8 record, and a perfect 13-0 in Region 3-AAA play.
On the girls’ side, the Lady Cavs, however, punched their ticket to the third round with a dominant victory, 73-48, over Providence Christian Academy.
The Calvary Day girls will move on to face St. Francis in the state quarterfinals.
The Savannah High boys also advanced to the third round of the state tournament with a 65-49 win over Manchester. The win marks 13 straight victories for the Bluejackets.
Savannah High will face Early County in the quarterfinals.
Lastly, Windsor Forest advanced to the next round with a 75-61 win over Douglas.
The Knights trailed by two points at the half, but came out strong in the second half en route to a 14-point victory.
Windsor Forest will play Dougherty in the state quarterfinals on Wednesday, Feb. 26.
