CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Nearly 700 Ameren Illinois customers are without power after a Sunday night outage in Champaign.

The impacted customers are clustered around Hunters Pond Run, and near Market Place Shopping Center. And, according to Ameren’s outage map, the power went out after 8 p.m. on Sunday in both locations.

As of 9 p.m., Ameren’s outage map did not provide a time for when the majority of customers near Hunters Pond Run would have their power restored. And, the cause of the outage was “undetermined.”

Near Market Place Shopping Center however, power was estimated to be restored around 8:15 a.m. on Monday. Ameren’s outage map labeled the cause as “customer equipment.”

WCIA has reached out to Ameren Illinois for more information and is waiting to hear back.
