One of the shooting victims remains in critical condition, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two men were shot as a result of an argument at a home on Jacksonville’s Northside Tuesday, according to Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office investigators.

According to Ofc. Christopher Smith with JSO, officers responded to a shooting call around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday to the 10000 block of Arnez Road.

Smith said a man, who he identified as the suspect, went to the house to meet with another person. They started to argue inside the home with another man, identified as one of the victims, when a “carload” of men arrived.

That’s when Smith said the shooting started. One of the victims was involved in the original argument, and the other was in the car that arrived later.

One man has life-threatening injuries after being shot in the face and the other man is expected survive after being shot in the arm.

Smith said all those involved in the argument and shooting are in police custody for questioning, and investigators are working to learn more about what happened.
