Nic Claxton was suspended for one game without pay due to acquiring his sixth flagrant foul point of the regular season. This latest incident occurred during Monday’s game against the Wizards.

The center will serve the ban Wednesday, when the Nets face Oklahoma City at Barclays Center.

At 25 years old, Claxton is maintaining an average of 10.1 points per game for the Nets. His notable contribution lies in his standout defensive skills, which have played a significant role in elevating the team’s performance. This has been crucial as the Nets have parted with many key players either through trades or buyouts, making Claxton’s defensive prowess invaluable.

Without Claxton, the Nets will likely rely more on Day’Ron Sharpe.

The suspension was announced by the league on Tuesday.

The team also announced it signed forward Kendall Brown to a two-way contract.

Brown has played 20 games for the Nets Long Island G-League affiliate.

He’s appeared in 21 games with the Pacers in his NBA career.
