Ashanti is ready to grow her family with Nelly!

Less than a year after welcoming their son, Kareem Kenkaide “KK” Haynes, the singer is already thinking about baby number two. In a recent interview, Ashanti opened up about her excitement for the future and her desire to expand their family.

“We’re going to add some more,” she revealed in an exclusive chat with E! News’ Will Marfuggi.

And if she had her way, their next little bundle of joy would be a girl. “Definitely a girl to balance it out,” Ashanti said. “I’m outnumbered in the house right now. So, a girl would be great.”

While Ashanti has babies on the brain, she’s also soaking in every moment with baby KK.

“I am feeling amazing, incredibly pleased, humbled,” she said. “My life has completely changed for the better. I feel full, you know? My cup is full.”

Ashanti and Nelly’s romance has been anything but ordinary. After spending 11 years in an on-and-off relationship, the two went their separate ways.

“We were together for 11 years off-and-on,” Ashanti said. “We stopped, we hated each other for a good chunk of time. And then we spun the block.”

But when fate brought them back together in 2023, everything felt different. This time, their love was stronger, deeper, and built to last.

“It just feels like timing is everything,” she continued. “It was, ‘I can’t believe these feelings came back,’” Ashanti reflected. “That’s what it was for me. When we first started talking and dating again it was like, ‘Wait a minute, these feelings were gone. How did they creep back?’”
