Ne-Yo recently opened up about his polyamorous relationship lifestyle, revealing that he is completely honest and transparent with all of his children about his alternative dating style.

In a recent interview on the Ricky Smiley Morning Show, the 45-year-old told the host that he makes being transparent with his seven children about his dating lifestyle a priority. Smiley asked the singer if his children every questioned him about his dating life, to which he responded, “Of course they do.”

“Of course they do. And I answer them. Honestly. Again, I’m not lying to nobody, not even my children.” He added, “It’s like, ‘Hey, this is daddy’s girlfriend. And so is that, and so is that. And so is that.’ “

In his interview, the singer confirmed that he is currently dating four women and that they all have a roll to play in his household. He tells Smiley that he makes sure that his children know exactly who is going to do what for them. ” ‘She gonna make you some cereal. She gonna cook lunch. And she gonna wash your clothes.’ And it’s all good.”

In a different portion of the interview, the Grammy Award-winning singer talks more about just how he actually manages all four of his relationships. “It’s not about juggling. It ain’t about juggling,” he said. “The key ingredient to making it work is honesty. Everybody gotta be telling the truth, you know what I mean?”

Additionally, he addressed one of his most recent social media posts, (above), as to why he is shown with just three and not all four women. He said, “There’s four of them total. There were just three there that particular night. It works. It works. Everybody’s honest, everybody’s telling the truth. Everybody’s consenting.”

Fatherhood for Ne-Yo’s began with the birth of his first daughter Madilyn Grace (born in 2010) and son Mason Evan (born in 2011) with his former fiancée, Monyetta Shaw-Carter.

The singer has three children with his now ex-wife Crystal Renay. Their children include: Shaffer Chimere Jr. (born in 2016), Roman Alexander-Raj (born in 2018), and Isabella Rose (born in 2021). The “Let Me Love You” singer shares sons Braiden (born in 2021) and Brixton (born 2023) with social media influencer Sade Jenea Bagnerise.
