TAMPA, Fla. (BLOOM) – Book lovers, get ready, Water Street Tampa is bringing a unique event to the heart of the city. Cover to Cover, an outdoor book fair designed for adults, will debut on March 5 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., offering an evening of stories, conversation, and community.

The event will transform the area into a book lover’s paradise, complete with pop-up bookstores, author talks, book signings, and hands-on activities like a typewriter experience and bookmark-making station.

Unlike traditional book fairs, Cover to Cover is designed with adults in mind, blending book discovery with cocktails, local bites, and engaging discussions. Attendees can mingle with Florida-based authors, explore a diverse range of books, and even take part in a Blind Date with a Book, where each wrapped book comes with a brief teaser description. No judging by the cover allowed.

Adding to the community-driven spirit of the event, organizers encourage attendees to bring a book to donate. The donated books will support a local nonprofit dedicated to providing literature to schools and families in need.

More Than Just Books

Cover to Cover is as much about the experience as it is about literature. Guests can sip on craft cocktails, savor dishes from Water Street’s top eateries, and browse an array of pop-up shops while soaking in the ambiance of the lively district.

With live storytelling, author Q&As, and a hands-on typewriter station, the evening promises to be an immersive celebration of words and creativity.

Cover to Cover is just one of many upcoming events at Water Street Tampa. Here’s a look at what’s on the horizon:

  • Feb. 28: The Space Between
  • March 1: Live music with Sundé
  • March 5: Cover to Cover Book Fair
  • March 7: Live music with Zeta the Babe
  • March 16: The Market: International Women’s Month Celebration

Parking is available at Cumberland Garage (1045 E Cumberland Ave.) for those attending the event.
