(The Hill) – Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, delivered a short and blunt message to tech billionaire Elon Musk on Tuesday when approached by a reporter outside the Capitol.

“If you could speak directly to Elon Musk, what would you say?” the reporter asked, in a clip now widely circulated on social media.

“F— off,” Crockett responded.

The Hill has reached out to Crockett’s office for further comment.

Crockett has become a leading voice among Democrats pushing back against moves taken by the Trump administration and by Musk, in his capacity as senior adviser to President Trump and the figure head behind the effort to root out waste, fraud and abuse from the federal government.

She is vice ranking member on the House Oversight Committee and serves on the Oversight subcommittee on the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
