SAVANNAH, Ga. () Loop It Up Savannah, a youth arts and enrichment organization that brings creative educational programming to more than 10,000 children every year, is celebrating 10 years with a fundraising event.

The local nonprofit invites friends and supporters to ‘Soup It Up for Loop It Up,’ a night among the stars to raise funds for their creative education programs.

This year, the event is on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Kehoe Iron Works Building at Trustees’ Garden in downtown Savannah. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., the evening will be packed with a variety of soups and other foods from several local restaurants.

Tickets and sponsorships are available by clicking here.

“As we look back on our first 10 years as a nonprofit organization, I am proud of the countless young people we’ve had the opportunity to work with and support as they discover, explore, learn, create and find joy through Loop It Up’s programs,” said Molly Lieberman, founder and executive director of Loop It Up. “While we have done a lot in the first 10 years, we have more ahead of us than behind us. I am grateful to everyone who contributes time, talent, treasure and heart to Loop It Up – we’re fueling the future together.”

Soup It Up for Loop It Up is the culminating fundraiser event for the nonprofit’s Annual Campaign, which runs from late November to March. The event gives Loop It Up the opportunity to showcase its core programs in literacy, mindfulness and STEAM/school gardens while also highlighting its achievements over the years. Their goal is to raise $175,000.

“The funds we raise at this event are critical to our programs’ success and allow us to continue being a consistent and positive presence in the lives of our students,” says Lieberman. “Our goal is for Loop It Up programs to contribute to the creativity, joy, safety and support that children experience on a daily basis.”

Loop It Up Savannah, through a partnership with Savannah Chatham County Public Schools, provides its’ three core programs – Looping Literacy Together, Mindfulness Zone and STEAM Dream/School Gardens – to over 40 schools across the Savannah area. The nonprofit also provides afterschool enrichment to 24 schools through the SCCPSS 21st Century After School Program.

This year’s Soup It Up will feature a number of local restaurants, including Fleeting, Collins Quarter, Heavy on the Hors d’Oeuvres, Common and Lulu’s Chocolate Bar Whitmarsh, who will all fill bowls with delicious soups. Lulu’s Chocolate Bar will also have offerings of their sweet treats. And this year, guests will get to cast votes for their favorite soup to choose which restaurant will go home with the Souper Star Soup Bowl trophy.
