The reality TV royalty that is the Kardashians never has a dull moment. The members of the family never seem to sit still, always hopping from one social commitment to the next.
This week, we see Kim and Kourtney hash out their longstanding drama over their respective connections to fashion powerhouse Dolce & Gabbana. While Kourtney has held a grudge about Kim picking a working relationship over the relationship with her sister in the past, will she be able to set things aside and move forward in the present?
The Immortal Dinner Guest
We open with Kim working on her collaboration with Skims and Dolce & Gabbana, a line she’s been working on for a year. She’s nervous to be working with D&G, especially given that Kourtney has been upset with Kim for working with the same brand she was in the past. To make things a “full circle” moment, she imagines having Kourtney participate in some capacity to help show off the collection.
Meanwhile, Kim, Khloé, and Kris go to have dinner with longevity specialist Bryan Johnson. He shows off his biohacking equipment around his house, and Kim tells the cameras she’s “obsessed,” wanting to stick around for her kids for as long as possible. Khloé teases her sister for how into the science of longevity she is:
This is, like, your Super Bowl.
Bryan freaks them out a bit when he tells them that death might be avoidable for him. While Kris and Kim continue to pepper him with questions throughout the night, amazed that he doesn’t drink a drop of alcohol, Khloé admits to the cameras that she’s a bit more skeptical about the whole situation. She pokes fun at Kim for sucking up to Bryan throughout the dinner, as she claims that she also doesn’t drink when Khloé knows that’s not actually the case.
Later, Kim goes to ask Kourtney to be part of her D&G collection. She visits Kourtney at her new home, and Kourtney explains she’s only just beginning to unpack her own things and will soon stop relying on Travis’ clothes for her wardrobe. Thankfully, Kourtney’s able to see past their former drama, and she expresses her enthusiasm for the idea:
I feel like we’ve moved on. And that it’d be iconic.
Meanwhile, Khloé has Kendall over, telling them how strange their dinner with Bryan was. Kendall’s upset she wasn’t invited to join, though her family members point out that she never reads or responds to their group chat. They also have fun FaceTiming Scott and making fun of him for his recent tabloid articles. Apparently they noticed that Scott had Mounjaro, a weight-loss drug, in the drawer of his refrigerator, though Scott says he isn’t ashamed and has nothing to hide from the public.
The rest of the family also teases Kendall for never reading the group text threads. It turns out that their family has several group chats that deliberately exclude one family member, including one called “Not Kourtney” and one called “Not Khloé” that omits each sister respectively. For her part, Khloé tells the cameras she hopes that there’s a group chat that excludes her, as it’s her expectation that everyone in the family “talks s***” about one another and that it’s only natural.
Kim Takes On D&G
It’s time for Kim to do her D&G campaign, and she brings Kourtney with her for the shoot. Kourtney’s mostly been in her own world as a mom, and she tells the cameras that she feels like she’s “coming out of retirement,” stepping out of her comfort zone for the shoot. “I do, like, two photo shoots a year,” she says. It’s not long before she grows grumpy, trying to manage her hunger and needing to breastfeed. Kim is aware that this is out of the norm for her sister, and she does what she can to be sensitive to her needs while still keeping the day moving along. She jokes to the cameras that it’s always a challenge to manage the “talent” on set.
The theme of the shoot pays homage to the way that Kim and Kourney have always been competitive when it comes to fashion. Kim references an old story of when she borrowed her sister’s jeans in school and Kourtney barged into her classroom to force her to change into shorts. The two are dressed in bold leopard print outfits and strut side by side for the cameras. Though Kourtney tells the cameras that she doesn’t feel camera-ready, not working out much these days and only wearing baggy clothes, in the end she says she’s grateful to have been able to share the experience with her sister.
Later, the family takes a trip to Palm Springs together, heading there on their private jet. On their way to dinner, they tease Kris about her blouse, which they say looks like a pirate shirt. That doesn’t stop them, though, from heading out to a party together and living it up. “We had the best time celebrating with the most amazing friends and family,” says Kris. “It’s these kind of memories that we make that last a lifetime.”
In the teaser for next week’s episode, we see that Khloé’s 40th birthday is fast approaching. Kim says she wants to “go big” for the event, and it’s hinted that there’s drama between the other sisters about how they feel Khloé should actually be celebrated for her big milestone. Will the group be able to come to a consensus before Khloé’s special day is ruined?
