Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney were dating when they appeared on the very first season of Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules. The couple faced a few hiccups in their relationship, but ultimately got married in August 2016, with an episode dedicated to their outdoor nuptials in Season 5.

The reality TV couple announced their decision to separate in March 2022. The following month, Katie revealed during an appearance on the We Met At Acme podcast that the reason for their split was because they had “changed and grown apart.” Their divorce was finalized that October.

The exes seem to be in a good place at the moment. They co-parent their two dogs, Gordo and Butter, and it looks like Tom has even gotten to know Katie’s new rockstar boyfriend, Nick Martin.

Vanderpump Rules’ Tom Schwartz gave his honest opinion on his ex-wife, Katie Maloney’s new beau, Sleeping with Sirens musician Nick Martin. Speaking with E! News while at the L.A. Art Show Opening on February 19th, the reality star broke his silence about meeting Nick for the very first time. Was their interaction awkward?

“Me and Katie still have joint custody of Gordo and Butter, and she dropped the dogs off yesterday. But I met Nick, and he’s so cool, so down to earth, and obviously a rock star,” Tom said.

When asked about his “first impressions of Nick,” Tom joked, “He’s a stud. I mean, he’s a rock star. Listen, Katie’s always dated musicians. I was an anomaly. I was an odd man out. I think I’m the only non-musician she’s ever dated/married twice. But I have nothing but love and respect for Katie and we’re on great terms. It feels good to say that. There’s no drama.”

Who Is Katie Maloney’s New Boyfriend, Nick Martin?

In an October 2024 episode of the Disrespectfully podcast, Katie revealed that she had a boyfriend and was “in love,” but kept the name of her new beau a mystery to her listeners. However, it wasn’t long before rumors surfaced, debunking her mystery partner as Sleeping with Sirens guitarist Nick Martin.

Nick was born and raised in San Diego, California. By the time he reached high school, he shared on the Emo’s Not Dead podcast that he had dreams of being in a band. Nick joined the alternative rock band Sleeping With Sirens in 2013.

“Once I got into high school, all I thought about was music and being in a band. I was just ready to get out of school, go home so I could play guitar or I could just go to band practice. That’s all I wanted to do,” Nick shared.

Like Katie, Nick was also married. In 2016, he wed Jenna Silva, but it’s unclear when the couple separated.

Nick and Katie went Instagram official in December of that year when Katie gave Nick a birthday shout-out. The following month, the musician would do the same, sharing a photo of the two on Instagram Stories and captioning it, “Happy birthday to the most genuine, loving, inspiring woman that I know.”

On February 24th, Nick posted his very first photo with Katie on his Instagram. Sharing a photo of the two of them, he captioned it, “thank you for changing my life for the better ❤️.” Katie responded in the comment section with, “I love you 🥹.”

In late 2023, Tom went official with his girlfriend, Sophia Skoro. Sophia, who is the owner of an online vintage shop, is 18 years younger than the Vanderpump Rules star. However, that didn’t deter the two from taking things to the next level.

Speaking to Access Hollywood in April 2024, Tom shared, “She’s just really effing cool! She’s charismatic and clever and kind of unconventionally funny.” He added, “She’s way cooler than me.”

During a joint appearance on The Viall Files that same month, Sophia revealed that she made the first move when she first spotted Tom at his West Hollywood restaurant, TomTom.

“I was like, ‘He’s looking hot,’ so I just told him. I simply just told him, and that was it,” Sophia shared. Tom admitted that he felt the same attraction towards Sophia, telling the host that the two “hit it off” even though they were years apart.

And, what had Katie said about her ex-husband’s much younger girlfriend? Like Tom, it appears that she just wants him to be happy, too.

During a March 2024 appearance of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Katie admitted, “Listen, I wish the best for him. I really want him to find someone special.”
