Appling, Ga. ()- Glamping, it’s a mixture of stunning nature and modern luxury.

It’s where family, friends, and couples can enjoy that camping feel while having that 5-star hotel accommodation under a tent.

Timberline Glamping has been around for quite some time at Wildwood Park – and many people went there to enjoy camping.

Hendrickson, who spent 25 years in the military came up with a retirement plan.

Buying a glamping business here in Georgia.

And just 26 days into owning Timberline Glamping, Helene hit putting his plans to a hold.

Now he is rebuilding. And He has all new tents.

Hendrickson says God told him it was the right thing to do.

“My wife and I really felt like this was the right thing that we needed to do. This whole area, if you look around. There was just so much devastation and there’s still people that are digging out from that today. So many livelihoods that have been just uprooted, destruction, all those things that took place. And what we wanted to do was really be able to come back in to this area and let people know that we’re really willing to not only rebuild, but just trust that God’s got a plan.”

Hendrickson also said he plans to add different accommodations to the glamping tents.

“So we’re going to have six sites that will be located up here. We’re going to have some different accommodations. Some of them will have coincided with bunk bed in them. Some will have a king bed with two sets of bunk beds in them. But we want people to be able to come out here and experience the lake. We want them to be able to get into a place where it’s peaceful, where it’s tranquil, where they can come and enjoy their time as a family, not have to worry about setting up a tent and not have to worry about doing all that kind of stuff because we have everything taken care of for you.”

If things go as planned, they will be reopening March 28th.
