A New Hampshire police officer has been arrested after he allegedly uploaded graphic videos to an app showing children as young as 7 being raped by adults.

John Giarrusso III, 48, who lives in Massachusetts but works for the Seabrook, New Hampshire, Police Department, was charged with possession of child sexual abuse images, dissemination of visual material of a child nude or engaged in sexual conduct, and disseminating obscene material to a minor, WCVB reported.

Seabrook Police Chief Brett Walker said Giarrusso was placed on administrative leave after Massachusetts authorities notified him of the officer’s arrest.

A warrant for Giarrusso’s arrest says his IP address was involved in sending and receiving graphic text messages about having sex with children over the app Kik. He is accused of uploading videos showing the rape of children and engaging in conversations with other users about arranging to have sex with their wives, daughters, and stepdaughters.

In some of the conversations, the documents say, Giarrusso bragged about his job and said the “girls in town call him Officer Sexy.”

According to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Giarrusso worked as a police officer to fundraise for “child-focussed facilities that help abused children heal by coordinating the investigation and treatment of child sexual abuse.”

Giarrusso was released on a $1 million bond after his arrest. He is due back in court next month.
