Worker seriously injured at Hyundai Metaplant

ELLABELL, Ga. () — A man was seriously injured on Monday at the Hyundai Metaplant, a spokesperson confirmed Thursday.

He was injured around 7:15 p.m. while working at the battery joint venture construction site.

A Hyundai spokesperson said he was transported by EMS to Memorial Medical Center for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The injured worker was transported by ambulance to Kia Drive near Highway 280, so he could be picked up by a helicopter, a Bryan County spokesperson said. He was then airlifted.

Circumstances surrounding his injury are not available at the time of publication, an official said.
