Brianna LaPaglia is undeniably going through a period of transition. While her career seems to be skyrocketing, on a personal level, she’s experiencing a lot of uncertainty. After her contentious breakup with Zach Bryan, the content creator is trying to figure out what she’s looking for in a romantic partner.

By her own account, the recent breakup hurt her badly, and she’s not actively looking for a new relationship, but there’s nothing wrong with figuring out what she really wants for when she’s ready to get back out there.

What Brianna Wants From Her Next Relationship

While Brianna is not completely sure about what she wants in a relationship, one thing is for sure: whoever she ends up with has to be the opposite of Zach. In an extensive conversation with Elite Daily, she opened up about her wants.

“I was really with someone who was my biggest hater, and I was their biggest fan. So I want it to be reciprocated,” she stated.

Makes complete sense, of course. But in addition, she’s also considering giving up on dating men altogether. The podcast host has identified as bisexual for years, but in a recent episode of her BFF podcast, she joked that she might be “fully a lesbian.”

While she was joking at the time, she reiterated while talking to Elite Daily that she might only date women from now on. And, she revealed, she has options.

“There were actually some kind of famous women reaching out to me, and I was like, ‘What? I didn’t even know you were gay,'” she shared.

She admits, however, that she feels inexperienced, and that’s holding her back.

“I feel like I’m late to the game, and it’s really intimidating. I’m 25, I’m going to go on my first date with a girl? Everyone in New York is a lesbian, so they’ve been doing it forever.”

Brianna Is Not Ready For A Relationship Yet

While it’s good that she now has a clearer idea of what she wants in a partner, Brianna also admitted that she’s nowhere near ready to think about dating seriously right now. She’s still healing, and it wouldn’t be a good idea to start something now.

“There have been some really great guys that I think would be amazing for me, but I’m emotionally f***** up right now, where I can’t even fathom the idea of letting someone in.”

It’s good that she’s aware of this because that means she can do something about it. She’s been working through the breakup in therapy and is having grace with herself.

“I have to remember it’s only been four months,” she wisely said. “I still have really bad days, and I still have PTSD. So, who knows how long it’ll take?”

In order to rebuild her confidence, she’s also rewatching her old YouTube videos and trying to get back in touch with that “giddy” young girl who captured people’s hearts.

“I think I have a chip on my shoulder after this past year and having to keep proving myself to people. I want to remind myself that girl on YouTube never felt the need to prove herself or explain herself.”
