TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The 38th annual Saltwater Sportsman National Seminar Series is coming to Tampa on Saturday, March 8th.

World-renowned fisherman George Poveromo will co-host this event with 8 on Your Side’s Amanda Holly at the Egypt Shriners Center from 9 am to 3 pm.

Amanda and George will take turns asking local captains their favorite tips, tricks, and even secret spots for nearshore, inshore, and offshore saltwater fishing in West Central Florida.

“The National Seminar Series has become the nation’s longest-running and most popular educational course on recreational marine angling tactics and techniques,” Poveromo said.

The series is widely popular because of the “vast amount of cutting-edge and pertinent how-to information on catching more and bigger game fish in our area.”

You can expect these how-tos and where-tos explained in great detail by some of the very best saltwater anglers with each session including videos, technical and action-oriented images along with on-stage demonstrations.
