Mom bashed over entitled plea for 'kid-friendly' airplane bathrooms

It’s not her potty but she’ll cry if she wants to.

A New York City mom-fluencer has been thoroughly chastised online after claiming that airplane bathrooms are unsuitable for children.

Victoria Maria Yavny, known as @toriyav on social media, asked in a video if she could launch a petition to have more child-friendly bathrooms on airplanes. The video, which garnered 4.4 million views on TikTok, features her making this plea.

She was describing an experience on a flight where her baby daughter “held her pee for 5 hours because she was terrified of the bathroom,” adding “ngl so I was I.”

“[It] didn’t help that the light didn’t work so it felt like we were in a night club,” recalled Yavny, who frequently shares funny vignettes and tips about parenting to her over 430,000 followers.

The clip, which was seemingly filmed on a phone propped on the toilet, shows the influencer cradling the baby in a confined lavatory with blue lighting.

“Mommy’s here we’ll give it (going to the bathroom) a try,” Yavny assures the terrified tot, who squeaks “no” in response.

She even scored the clip with dramatic, paranormal-evoking music to enhance the ominous effect.

TikTok commenters weren’t exactly feeling the New Yorker’s proposal to turn the bathroom into a play pen at 30,000 feet.

“No. Hope this helps!” said one, while another wrote, “It’s a plane….. with what space.”

“I also would scream if my mom tried to record me going to the bathroom,” declared a third.

“If you lock the door the light turns on,” quipped one TikTok wit, suggesting that the woman failed to close the door properly.

Others saw her so-called demand as part of a trend of people trying to Nerf the world, claiming that it’s the parents’ job to acclimatize their progeny to the lavatory and not the other way around.

“Not only do we all have to deal with kids screaming on planes, but now parents want the entire structure revamped for them,” lamented one.

Another shot, “lmao can we normalize teaching our kids to not be afraid of toilets.”

“How about travel without your kid! Or grand idea…drive or just don’t go!” said one critic.

This isn’t the first time a parent’s inflight sympathy bid backfired horribly.

In December, an entitled mother was lambasted after filming herself berating a passenger who refused to relinquish her window seat to her crying toddler.
