Kareem Youngblood is a pastry chef and contestant on Season 11 of Spring Baking Championship on the Food Network. The founder of The Cupkaak Bar, Kareem has featured on Netflix’s “Sugar Rush” and Food Network’s “Chopped Sweets.”
“Even though I wasn’t classically trained, my education came from life itself—I went to the University of Grandpa and YouTube,” Kareem said. “He taught me everything I know about food—not the fancy stuff, but the real, soul-satisfying kind.”
Kareem struggled with math and spelling. For him, running his own business and landing on TV isn’t just about baking. It’s about beating the odds, rewriting the narrative, and showing what’s possible.
Kareem is also a content creator and an experienced Digital Marketing Specialist, according to his LinkedIn page. In December 2024 he started a new position as Health Communications Content Creator and Design Consultant at Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

Brooklyn chef Kareem Youngblood is a contestant on the Food Network’s Spring Baking Championship 2025, hosted by Jesse Palmer.
For the first time ever, a baker’s dozen of 13 contestants will embark on a wondrous journey to make the impossible possible and win over judges Duff Goldman, Nancy Fuller and Kardea Brown. At the end of the competition, only one baker will take the cake and earn $25,000, a feature in Food Network Magazine and the title of Spring Baking Champion.
