Chelsea return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon as they continue their hunt for Champions League qualification.

The Blues have been underwhelming since the turn of the year but could take an important step towards finishing the campaign in the top four by beating Leicester at Stamford Bridge. The Foxes are in miserable form and should realistically prove no match for Chelsea.

Enzo Maresca should name a full-strength starting lineup against his former employers, with Chelsea able to rest and rotate during their Conference League last 16 first leg victory over Copenhagen midweek.

GK: Filip Jorgensen – Robert Sanchez was offered an increasingly rare run-out midweek but Jorgensen remains Chelsea’s first-choice stopper having usurped his teammate in 2025.

RB: Malo Gusto – Chelsea were handed an injury scare when Gusto was withdrawn during the first half in Denmark on Thursday, but Maresca has confirmed the French defender’s availability for Leicester’s visit.

CB: Wesley Fofana – The former Leicester central defender has been absent since December but was named on the bench against Southampton last time out. With Fofana not eligible to feature in the Conference League, he could start on Sunday to regain some match fitness.

CB: Levi Colwill – Colwill was another rested midweek as Benoit Badiashile and Trevoh Chalobah returned from injury, but the England international should be deployed to stifle Jamie Vardy this Sunday.

LB: Marc Cucurella – Cucurella was thrust into the team following Gusto’s early exit against Copenhagen, producing an impressive performance during the Conference League triumph.

DM: Moises Caicedo – Leicester have been extremely disappointing in the final third this season but Bilal El Khannous has been one of very few sources of inspiration in recent times. Caicedo will need to shackle the Moroccan.

DM: Enzo Fernandez – Fernandez rose from the bench to score against Copenhagen, the midfielder’s second goal in his last three appearances. He’s starting to make things tick in the final third once more.

RM: Jadon Sancho – Sancho should be used on the right-hand side in lieu of the injured Noni Madueke. After a bright start in Chelsea colours, he’s found life more challenging in recent months – as have his teammates, admittedly.

AM: Cole Palmer – Another underwhelming showing from Palmer on Thursday has further proved Chelsea’s talisman is indeed human. There are one or two concerns over his form, with no goal contributions in his last eight appearances.

LM: Christopher Nkunku – The Frenchman operated on the left flank during Chelsea’s most recent Premier League outing, scoring and assisting against Southampton. Maresca could persist with him in a wider role against Leicester.

ST: Pedro Neto – Neto and Nkunku have swapped positions and it’s benefitted both. The speedy Portuguese has impressed in place of the absent Nicolas Jackson, managing a goal and two assists in his last two games.
