LONGWOOD, Fla. (WFLA) — A woman stuck in her car captured a dramatic video showing debris flying as a tornado touched down north of Orlando Monday.

As the storm passed by, tree limbs and other debris could be seen flying at her car, making thumping sounds as some of the objects appeared to strike her vehicle. The heavy winds also pelted her vehicle with rain.

The woman’s voice grew shaky and emotional as she looked around after the rain and winds had slowed down. Her camera revealed shingles missing from a nearby roof and a tree toppled over in front of her vehicle.

Another video she took after the skies had completely cleared showed the full scale of destruction in the Longwood neighborhood. Debris was scattered everywhere; fences had fallen over; a large tree had been ripped from the ground; and first responders lined the streets.

The National Weather Service confirmed that the tornado had peak winds of 120 mph and was classified as an EF-2, according to NBC affiliate WESH.

Officials believe the tornado’s four-mile track began in Wekiva Springs and extended to Longwood, before crossing I-4 and into Lake Mary.

Preliminary data indicated that it was on the ground for a total of six minutes and spanned 300 yards in width.
