Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are in a new, “awkward” era of their relationship. The pair, who have been dating since 2023, are rethinking their public appearances in the wake of the Super Bowl. The downside, according to an insider, is “taking the romance out of the relationship.”

According to RadarOnline, Swift and Kelce are “re-evaluating” how they go about their relationship publicly after fans booed the Grammy winner when she appeared on the stadium’s Jumbotron at Super Bowl LIV. On Feb. 9, 2025, as the Kansas City Chiefs took on the Philadelphia Eagles, footage of her being booed quickly went viral. So did her reaction.
“It’s been quite the whirlwind for Taylor,” an insider told the outlet. “Just when she was on top of the world after that fabulous Eras Tour, boom! She gets hit with some serious public backlash.”
“I mean, the girl really thinks of herself as a decent person, always trying to do the right thing,” they added. “So this whole ordeal must be super unsettling for her.”
“Rumor has it that she’s been advised to keep a low profile for now. Can you imagine? It’s almost like she’s been branded as the bad guy, and that’s gotta hurt.”

So, what does “re-evaluating” look like for Kelce and Swift? Taking a closer look at the timing of their joint appearances, the insider claimed. But it’s not without a tradeoff: less “romance.”
“Things have definitely taken a weird turn for her and Travis,” the source said. “Hello, first big bump in their otherwise fun romance! They’ve been having some seriously awkward chats with their teams about when they should step out in public and what the vibe should even be like. Talk about taking the romance out of the relationship.”
The booing at the Super Bowl is said to have left Swift “shaken,” in turn putting those closest to her on “high alert” as she and Kelce work their way through it.
“Let’s be real, Taylor is not one to back down easily,” the insider said. “But with all this hate coming from the public lately, it’s leaving her a little shaken. Friends and family are on high alert, worried about the couple and hoping they can navigate through this tricky phase in their love saga.”
Don’t forget they also have to navigate losing the Super Bowl together, which an expert previously called a “huge hurdle” for Swift and Kelce.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift were recently spotted in Utah
The NFL star and Grammy winner have stayed out of the spotlight since the Chiefs’ Super Bowl loss. That is, except for Kelce’s post-game podcast chat with his brother, Jason Kelce, and a few other interviews in the days after the big game.
Following reports they’d be relaxing in the off-season, complete with getaways together and nights in, Swift and Kelce were spotted in Park City, Utah.
On March 10, 2025, DeuxMoi shared a short video from “last week” of the pair exiting a restaurant. Swift could be seen wearing a gray coat next to Kelce as they climbed in the back of a white SUV.
