TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Cool temperatures this morning turn mild this afternoon with highs in the mid and upper 70s away from the coast.

Skies will be sunny and winds will be lighter today. Temperatures drop back into the 40s and 50s Thursday morning with a few areas of patchy fog possible.
The weather pattern stays quiet through Saturday with a warming trend underway. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Winds will pick back up over the weekend ahead of the next cold front that will arrive Sunday evening.

Rain chances will be low until Sunday afternoon where a few showers are possible.

Showers and thunderstorms will move in Sunday night and Monday morning as the cold front passes.

This will turn temperatures cooler for Monday and Tuesday briefly. 80s return for the middle of next week.
