WASHINGTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — A Johnson City man was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor on March 6.

According to a news release from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), authorities received a cyber tip that led to an investigation into James Hurt.

Deputies conducted a search warrant on Hurt’s home on Stafford Lane and seized multiple electronic devices.

Sexual explicit content was allegedly found on two of the devices.

Hurt, 69, was arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center.

As of Tuesday, Hurt made a $5,000 bond. A court date is to be determined.
