JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A semitrailer fell from the bed of a tow truck and overturned on Interstate 295 just north of Pulaski Road in Jacksonville Thursday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident happened at 11:56 p.m., FHP’s crash report states.
FHP says the tow truck was towing the semitrailer from the scene of an earlier crash that happened on Heckscher Drive.
As a 42-year-old Jacksonville man was driving the tow truck on I-295, “the rear tires came out from under the trailer causing the rear of the trailer to fall onto the roadway,” the report states.
FHP says the trailer then overturned on the interstate, causing lanes to close. However, the lanes have since reopened.
The report shows no one suffered injuries in the incident.
