The Glynn County Police Department says the RV was stolen from a dealership in West Virginia, while a camper attached to it was stolen from a dealership in Virginia.

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. — A man and woman were arrested just before midnight Thursday after leading police on a chase that began in McIntosh County and ended on the Sidney Lanier Bridge in Brunswick, according to the Glynn County Police Department (GCPD).

Police say the man, identified as Roberto Ortiz, and the woman, identified as Shaina Boucle, were driving a stolen RV that had a stolen camper attached to it. According to a press release, Ortiz was the driver, while Boucle was the passenger.

At approximately 11:17 p.m. Thursday, the release states the police department was notified by dispatch that McIntosh County sheriff’s deputies were in pursuit of the RV traveling southbound on Interstate 95 toward Glynn County.

Officers deployed stop sticks near exit 36, deflating the RV’s tires, but the suspects continued driving south. More stop sticks were deployed near exit 29, further damaging the RV’s tires.

Despite the tire damage, police say the RV exited I-95 at exit 29, heading west on Highway 17 before making a U-turn near Travel Centers of America and heading east.

“The pursuit continued as the camper, now riding on its rims, was dragged behind the RV,” the release states.

The chase concluded when the RV came to a stop at the top of the Sidney Lanier Bridge, where officers took Ortiz and Boucle into custody.

According to GCPD, Boucle was found to have an active felony warrant for her arrest out of Miami. Furthermore, police determined the RV was stolen from a dealership in West Virginia, while the camper was stolen from a dealership in Virginia.

Boucle was transported to the Glynn County Detention Center and the McIntosh County Sheriff’s office took custody of Ortiz.

The police department says the investigation into the incident is ongoing, and any person with information is encouraged to contact GCPD’s non-emergency number at 912-554-3645 or call Silent Witness at 912-264-1333 to remain anonymous.
