Brittany Cartwright Is Opening Up Her Own Bar Across From SUR Restaurant
Jax And Brittany Opened Up The Sports Bar, Jax’s Studio City, In 2023
During an episode of When Reality Hits in November, Brittany revealed that she will be opening her own bar called Britt’s in West Hollywood. In fact, it will be just steps away from her old waitressing job at Lisa Vanderpump’s SUR restaurant.
“You all know we started the bar-restaurant business, and we started off with Jax’s. A lot has changed since we started that. I did a lot to help that place. I put Mamaw’s Beer Cheese on the menu, I did all the flowers, I helped decorate, I showed up when Jax couldn’t be there, I tried my hardest to keep everything going. I love the partners that we have there and they recently came to me and … Britt’s is coming to WeHo!”
“Jax’s is still near and dear to me because I literally started that and I helped with so much of that, but I’m gonna have my own bar in West Hollywood right across from where I started, [near] SUR. Tom Tom is three doors down from me…it’s in the best location ever. I cannot wait, I just hope everybody loves it. We’re going to start construction, and I’m just so excited!
In a February episode of her podcast, Brittany gave fans an update on her bar. Stating that it would be opening in late March, she spilled, “I cannot wait for it to open. I just cannot wait to get it all together and see it all together. This is just another thing that I’m going to keep myself busy with and I’m so excited.”
Brittany worked at Hooters in Las Vegas for several years before she met Jax in 2015.
In The Valley Season 1, viewers watched as Jax and Brittany opened up their sports bar, Jax Studio City, located in Studio City, California, in late 2023. During an interview with People, Brittany expressed being reluctant about opening up a bar as a married couple after Jax made the admission that it “ruins relationships.” However, with Jax’s Studio City being less than 10 minutes from their home, she “warmed up quickly” to the idea.
However, now that the two are divorced, Bravo’s The Daily Dish reported that it’s “unclear if she’ll be involved in any future endeavors,” regarding Jax’s Studio City.
Brittany Stated That Jax Had Done “Irreparable Damage” To Her And Their Son, Cruz
Jax Is Now Over 100 Days Sober
Brittany did not stay silent when her estranged husband detailed having had an addiction to cocaine. Although he had shared that he was over 80 days sober from both drugs and alcohol, Brittany admitted in a statement to People soon after that she was “skeptical” of his progress to get better.
“For the first time, I can speak openly about the extent of trauma he’s instilled on our family over the years. I’ve tried desperately to help him without success. I pray that one day he completely knocks this addiction, but I’m skeptical. His behaviors are still alarming and his treatment plan seems to be the bare minimum.”
Brittany and Jax welcomed their son, Cruz, on April 12, 2021.
She continued, “I’m trying to navigate this as best as I can for my son and I, but every day is still a challenge and very difficult. Jax has caused an enormous amount of damage and I have very little trust in him at this point. My only hope is that one day, he will be a better person for his son.”
Brittany expanded on her thoughts about Jax’s admission in an Instagram Story.
“His addiction unfortunately has done irreparable damage to my son and I. I’ve spent years trying to help him.”
She further detailed that she was still finding it hard to believe Jax was really going to change. “I wish more than anyone I could say how proud I am of him today, but I’d be lying. His actions will speak for themselves.”
In fact, she also addressed questions from fans who asked why she remained married to Jax while he was using heavy drugs. “You can’t help who you fall in love with. I’ve done absolutely everything in my power to get him the help he desperately needed. Unfortunately, I was naive and believed his empty promises and his pleads to change for years.”
In an Instagram post on March 9th, Jax revealed that he had since been 100 days sober. “100 days down and the rest of my life to go.”
