‘Hacks’ Star Megan Stalter explains why she has no plans to try Ozempic

Megan Stalter knows how to spot a dirty little secret.

The 34-year-old actor, famous for her role as Kayla in the popular Max TV show “Hacks,” stated that individuals who falsify using Ozempic are not skilled at concealing their use of the expensive medication.

During Thursday’s episode of “Grindr Presents: Who’s The A—–? with Katya” podcast, Katya Zamolodchikova asked Stalter what she thought of people “lying about being on Ozempic.”

“Let’s just say the trips to the bathroom would say otherwise, okay? We know if you’re on it because you’re s–tting your pants,” the three-time SAG Award nominee replied. “How is that hotter than being fat? That is insane to me. That is crazy.”

The “Cora Bora” actress made it clear that she had no plans to inject the drug — initially made to help individuals with Type 2 diabetes — that has taken Hollywood and beyond by storm.

“I would rather be 500 pounds than s–tting all day,” Stalter added. “That’s so gross unless you have a sickness then that’s something you’re born with. But if you’re taking a drug on purpose to s—t your brains out, just so you lose 10 pounds, honey, we liked you a little chubbier.”

The FDA first approved Ozempic to help people with Type 2 diabetes improve their blood sugar levels, reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events and slow the progression of Kidney damage.

Ozempic has not yet been specifically approved by the FDA to be used for weight loss purposes only. However, doctors still prescribe it off label for those who want to try the weekly injections to lose weight.

The federal agency has approved other forms of GLP-1 jabs such as Wegovy and Zepbound to be used by obese and overweight adults who have at least one complication related to their weight like high blood pressure or high cholesterol.

Users of the drugs have reported some unsettling side effects like diarrhea and constipation, as Stalter joked about on the podcast.

Other side effects could include nausea, stomach (abdominal pain) and vomiting, according to Ozempic’s website.

Studies even showed that the trendy weight loss drugs helped decrease booze cravings for people with alcohol use disorder and can even lower the risk of depression.

Not all celebrities denied taking the jabs to trim up.

Tori Spelling, Rebel Wilson, Tracy Morgan, Amy Schumer and Chelsea Handler have all opened up about their experiences with the jabs.

“I ain’t letting it go,” Morgan said during an August 2023 “TODAY” show appearance. “It cuts my appetite in half. Now I only eat half a bag of Doritos.”
