(KRON) – A brother and sister were killed in a car crash in Napa Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Around 7 a.m. on Sunday, CHP responded to the Highway 29 offramp near Imola Avenue. Responding officials located a 2006 Nissan sedan that was 20 to 30 feet below the embankment and crashed into a tree.

According to the Napa County Sheriff’s Office, the driver was a woman, identified as Yesica Barajas, whose 10-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter were also in the car. The children did not survive the crash, according to deputies.

Barajas was taken to a local hospital for major injuries. According to CHP, she was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence but is still receiving medical attention.

Imola Avenue offramp was blocked at 7:30 a.m. and reopened around 11:50 a.m.
