Kristin Cavallari Announces Her New E! Docuseries

Kristin Cavallari first became well-known when she appeared on MTV’s Laguna Beach. The show documented the life of her, then-boyfriend Stephen Colletti, rumored rival Lauren Conrad and other students at Laguna Beach High School. Her rivalry with Lauren was further explored in the follow-up spin-off series, The Hills.

While Kristin has made a name for herself on reality television, she is currently delving into the very different world of podcasting. She currently hosts the Let’s Be Honest podcast and is currently on a tour in support of it. This tour will be filmed for a docuseries, but Kristin is quick to point out this will not be anything like her reality past.

Kristin Said She Will Document Her Podcast Tour In A New Docuseries And Insists It’s Not A Reality Show

Kristin Cavallari is getting ready to return to reality television, but in a way viewers haven’t seen before. When speaking to listeners on her Let’s Be Honest podcast, Kristin revealed that she is working on a docuseries that will “follow the entire podcast tour journey.”

“I know that I have said I will not go back to reality TV 5,000 times. This is different,” Kristin explained. “This is not just a show about my personal life. I’m not dating on the show. It’s not trying to come up with drama for story lines. This is truly a docuseries in the best sense of the word.”

The premiere of Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour will happen on Thursday, June 5. The show itself has just started filming. The series, which was announced by the E! Network, will document Kristin’s travels on her upcoming podcast tour. The tour began in Atlanta on Friday, March 7.

According to Kristin, she wants to make sure this new series is “as authentic as possible.” She said that authenticity is important to her, since she has a lot of experience doing reality television. “We are going to make this as real as possible. I’m excited and just show you guys the behind-the-scenes,” she told listeners, She went on to tease listeners by saying, “I’m going to save all the juicy stuff for the show and the actual podcast.”

Kristin has said that her “Headline Tour” will touch on the various headlines she’s made over the years. The shows will also feature guest stars that have also been a focus of interest in the media. These could be figures who stirred up drama themselves or who just happened to be part of a big, newsworthy story.

This show will be different from Kristin’s previous experiences on television, because it will feature “candid conversations with famous friends, Bravolebrities, memorable exes and other notable celebs from Kristin’s life as they unfold the stories behind their buzziest headlines — and make new ones — with jaw-dropping revelations that set the record straight,” the E! Network said in a press release. Kristin has added dates in Chicago, Boston and New York. She will announce the guest to attendees in real time. This way, the cameras will be able to capture the genuine excitement of the audience.

Kristin might be new to the grind of touring life, but she can at least take comfort in the familiarity of being filmed for television. Laguna Beach ran from 2004 to 2006, and it was followed by The Hills, a spin-off set in Los Angeles. Lauren Conrad left the show in its second season, and Kristin took over as the lead. Kristin and Lauren ended up crossing over in 2009 during the show’s fifth season. Then, Kristin took over as the lead in 2010 during Season 6.

Lauren then led her own reality series titled Very Cavallari. The show centered around Lauren expanding her business in Nashville and being married to Jay Cutler. The two would announce their divorce in April 2020. The former spouses co-parent their three children, Camden, Jaxon and Saylor.

Very Cavallari ran from 2018 to 2020, lasting three seasons. It marked the last time that Kristin starred on reality television. And while she insisted this new series is different from reality television, Kristin did refer to this as a return, of sorts, in a recent Instagram post.

“THE B**** IS BACK … again!!!! 4th times a charm 😜,” Kristin wrote. “I’m back with my E! family to document my Let’s Be Honest podcast tour. Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour will premiere June 5th on @eentertainment ! Can’t wait to be back!!!! I’ll see yall soon 💗.”

Kristin Was Brutally Honest About Co-Parenting With Her Ex-Husband

Kristin got real when discussing her co-parenting situation with Jay. She referred to co-parenting with her ex-husband as “the ultimate test in life” during a chat with Interview Magazine. She didn’t give any more specifics during that particular chat. However, she did open up in December 2024 with some brutal honesty regarding her own feelings about the situation.

Kristin appeared on Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast, calling Jay a “pathological liar” with “zero f****** consistency.” She revealed the two had a “bumpy road,” and elaborated by saying, “[It’s] really hard. It has not been easy, to say the least.”

She added, “We sat together at a basketball game earlier in the year, and I was like, ‘Holy f***, this is the best thing that’s ever happened. Jesus Christ, we made it. We can sit next to each other.’ And we haven’t sat together since, so I don’t f****** know. What the f***?”

Kristin also said she will most likely not spend holidays with Jay as a “family unit” with their children in the future. She said it “bums [her] out sometimes” when she thinks about it. Kristin said, “Coming from divorced parents, the last thing I ever wanted was a divorce. I won’t lie to you. That still will creep up once in a while. … It just sucks that we’re not together as a family.”

The couple spent a total of ten years together and separated in 2020. The divorce would be finalized two years later. Kristin has been linked to several men since, including comedian Jeff Dye and country singer Morgan Wallen.

Kristin was most recently dating TikTok star Mark Estes, before breaking up in September 2024. During the podcast with Bunnie XO, Kristin revealed that she had “someone else” in her life. Kristin didn’t divulge any details, keeping her new beau’s identity a mystery. However, she did say, “I’m a f****** WAG through and through.” In 2023, Jay and his partner Samantha Robertson went public with their relationship. The couple became engaged the following year.

Kristin Opened Up About Dating Before Launching Her Podcast

Kristin sat down with Us Weekly in 2023 right before launching her Let’s Be Honest podcast. During the discussion, she told the outlet why she wanted to do a podcast. According to the reality star, she had been offered podcasting opportunities for over a decade, but waited until she was ready to completely open herself up and allow listeners to experience her vulnerability.

“I’ve been offered a podcast for more than 10 years,” Kristin revealed. “I wasn’t ready before because to have a successful podcast, you have to be vulnerable. I’ve always had no filter, but I’ve kept the audience at arm’s length. Once I signed on, I knew I had to be completely myself.”

When asked what topics the podcast would cover, Kristin said it would be “a good mix,” but emphasized a focus on dating. “I want to have men come on to shed light on dating. It’s one thing for us girls to sit here and be like, ‘This is why he didn’t call you back,’ when we’re just coming up with scenarios. But for men to actually be like, ‘This is what we’re really thinking and feeling,’ is really beneficial.”

Kristin did tell the outlet that she was dating, but insisted it wasn’t on her priority list. Still, she said she was “open to it.” One thing she said she wasn’t doing, however, was joining any dating apps. One can only assume she even ruled out Raya, the dating app commonly used by celebrities.

“Everyone tells me to get on the apps, but someone can be amazing on paper, and you meet them, and they’re a dud, or you just have nothing in common,” she said. “I want that passion and fire. I feel like if it’s meant to be, he’ll find me. I don’t know where, because I hardly ever leave my house! Hopefully it will happen at the grocery store. [Laughs.]”
