Love Is Blind's Sara Addresses Rumors That She's Dating Castmate Joey

The cameras have officially stopped rolling on Love Is Blind Season 8. That doesn’t mean the drama for the reality TV cast members is over, however.

After the reunion aired, fans were left wondering about the status of Sara’s love life. What’s the deal with new rumors that she might have rekindled a romance with Joey?

Sara Denies She’s Dating Joey

Sara made an appearance on the podcast “The Viall Files” where she discussed the rumors. When asked whether there was anything more to her connection with Joey Leveille since the season had ended, she was clear to set the record straight:

I’ve seen this a few times online in the past 24 hours. Well, to be clear, me and Joey are not dating.

Where exactly did these rumors come from? Sara revealed that she actually did have a deeper connection with Joey in the pods, making people wonder if there was something to rekindle once the cameras stopped rolling.

While appearing on the podcast, Sara went on to elaborate about what she calls a “love square” between herself, Joey, and two other cast members:

There was a love square between me, Monica, Ben and Joey. We were all talking to each other until the second to last day in the pods. Of course, naturally in that circumstance, you do connect with people. I feel like me and Joey did establish a really great friendship.

It seems there’s nothing more than friendship between Joey and Sara for now.

Sara Is Still Close With Other Cast Members

In talking about her relationships from the show, Sara explained that she remained very close with several fellow cast members. Though at the end of the season she and partner Ben split up, she explained that there was a core group with whom she remained very close.

“[Joey and] five other people visited me in Nashville and we called ourselves the ‘Yee-Haw Crew,’ like, it’s such a good time,” she explained. “We grew really, really close with each other just because of the support for each other, knowing what we’ve all been through and being able to be there for one another. It’s been super important to me.”

As for Joey, it seems he’s included in her core group of pals. “This whole situation, I’ve felt very close with Joey. I’m fond of our relationship, but I [also] feel very well-supported by all those involved,” Sara went on. “I’m just very grateful that I’ve met him, but, yeah, we definitely have a friendship. We’re definitely not dating… I don’t know what the future will hold, but, I do know for right now, I definitely have no capacity to even think about a relationship.”

It seems that Sara wasn’t destined to get her fairy tale ending at the end of Season 8. Though it seemed like things were progressing with her then-fiancé Ben throughout the show, in the end they broke up over irreconcilable differences. Sara cited that Ben wasn’t willing to have the necessary conversations about deeper topics that she wanted to have with a life partner, and that it caused her to doubt their compatibility.

At the Season 8 reunion, the two got into an argument about which one of them officially broke things off with the other. While Sara was the one to refuse him at the altar, the two apparently had plans to reconnect in Nashville after filming ended, but Ben appeared to go cold on her at that point, which he denied at the reunion.
